A successful design, construction and maintenance process towards nZEB standards requires innovative design processes and technologies based on an integrated design approach and multi-disciplinary work teams. However, this approach is not yet common as the building sector still works in a fragmented way. PROF/TRAC offers a solution to overcome these barriers by developing an Open Training Platform and Qualification scheme for Continuing Professional Development. This platform targets technical experts, architects and building managers involved in nZEB design and construction. The developed European qualification scheme will be part of a life-long learning process for continuous development and upskilling of professionals.

Green Building education project is centred around the Green Building Professional (GBP) course, that has been developed by the Green Building Council European Network, as a way of offering integrated and holistic approach to green building, and offering different professionals an opportunity to grasp and understand the whole process of sustainable construction. Local municipality employees working in sectors of urban planning, architecture or similar, as well as SME employees will attend the course.

Calculationstudio is a series of lectures and seminars, which aims at sharing theoretical knowledge and financial possibilities among property developers on how to calculate the profibility of energy efficiency measures. An easy and useful tool is BeBo’s efficiency calculation (BeBos Lönsamhetskakyl), developed by BeBo and revised by scientists at Gothenburg University to calculate investment and maintenance on the energy saving measures of apartment buildings.
