“Svanen” Eco-label / Certification for buildings(Sweden)

Multi-family buildings, single-family houses and school buildings can be labeled with the certification “Svanen”. The requirements cover construction, materials, energy and respect for the environment throughout the manufacturing process, from raw materials to the finished building.  The building also has to provide a good indoor environment. The result is a building where people get a healthy indoor environment, and where the environmental impact is as small as possible. Work is being done to develop a certification for existing buildings as well.

PlanHeat is funded under H2020-EU.3.3.1. – Reducing energy consumption and carbon footprint by smart and sustainable use. It is coordinated by engineering company called D’appolonia from Italy. Project starts October 1 2016 and ends September 30 2019.
PLANHEAT main objective is to develop and demonstrate an integrated and easy-to-use tool which will support local authorities (cities and regions) in selecting, simulating and comparing alternative low carbon and economically sustainable scenarios for heating and cooling that will include the integration of alternative supply solutions (from a panel of advanced key technologies for the new heating and cooling supply) that could balance the forecasted demand.

Index of European National Renovation Standards and Best Practices(EU)

The Investor Confidence Project (ICP) Europe, is an Energy Efficiency (EE) initiative addressing investment market barriers which have been identified as an impediment to mass scaling of EE investments in Europe.

ICP Europe protocols provide comprehensive guidance for project development at a European level, allowing for the streamlining of project underwriting processes related to project performance.

The ICP has now published Annex A: Index of National Resources . This document summarises information gathered to date by country on national standards, guidance documents or sources of information which can be used to support in-country ICP projects.
